Executive Family Lawyer
Clayton Long is widely acknowledged across the industry for his expertise in the area of Family and Relationship Law.
Over the last 28 years, Clayton has successfully resolved thousands of Family Law cases, enabling 97% of parties to reach a legal resolution, without the need to conduct a court hearing. He combines his accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and litigation experience with MinterEllison to have an edge in business and complex cases.
Clayton has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from the Australian National University and a Masters of Law from Sydney University. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1989.
Executive Family Lawyer
Sheree Orbell has been with the firm since 2009. She has risen to be an Executive Lawyer practising with our Family Law Team.
Sheree can provide advice on all areas of family law including parenting and children’s issues, divorce, binding financial agreements, de facto relationships, property settlements, spouse maintenance, child support, family law litigation, as well as general legal advice.
Sheree Orbell holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2007. She is a member of the Law Society and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
Mona has practiced in Family Law since being admitted as a solicitor in 2015. Mona also has experience as an Associate to a Judge in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, which provided an invaluable daily insight into the Court’s dealings in family law matters.
Mona can provide practical and thorough advice on a broad range of family law matters, whilst being mindful and considerate of the additional stressors and financial constraints that family law proceedings often impose. Mona has experience appearing regularly in the Family Court of Australia and Federal Circuit Court of Australia, along with representing parties at mediations to assist them to achieve a positive outcome.
Mona is a member of the Law Society of NSW and is admitted as a Solicitor in the High Court of Australia, Supreme Court of NSW and Supreme Court of Queensland.
Annette is currently on extended leave in 2019/20 as a Registrar at the Family Court of Australia.
Prior to joining the firm, Annette worked for over 25 years as an Associate to a Judge in the Family Court of Australia. This has given Annette a wealth of experience in dealing with the broad range of family law issues as well as thorough knowledge of Court rules, processes and procedures, how to conduct family law cases and resolve family law disputes as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Drawing on this extensive experience, Annette is mindful of the emotionally stressful circumstances facing family law clients and endeavours to ensure that parties can achieve a settlement by adopting a sensible approach.
Annette attained a Diploma in Law through the Legal Profession Admissions Board, and amongst other achievements, was awarded the academic prize in Family Law.
Julianne has worked in family law since 2012 and holds degrees in both Law (Honours) and Commerce. She has worked in the challenging area of child protection law and is a passionate advocate in parenting and child-related issues. Prior to becoming a solicitor, Julianne worked in industry as an accountant and she draws on her forensic skills in dealing with complex property matters. She appears regularly in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court, also appearing at the appellate level. She has additional experience in commercial litigation, family provision claims and estate planning.
Julianne provides advice with intelligence, understanding and compassion. With technical experience and strategic thinking Julianne assists clients through all family law processes using a combination of thorough planning, mediation, and should the need arise, litigation.
Julianne is a member of the Law Society of NSW and is also a qualified Collaborative Lawyer.
She has obtained a wide range of experience, having acted in property matters for high net worth individuals, as well as in matters with smaller property pools. She has also represented clients in their parenting matters, divorces and financial agreements, amongst other areas.
Georgina is a caring and compassionate family lawyer, and is driven to obtain positive outcomes for her clients. She prioritises taking a commercial approach, to ensure the cost and delays that can be common in family law matters are minimised.
Georgina is currently undertaking a Master of Laws at Melbourne University and is dedicated to assisting her clients by keeping on top of the latest developments in family law.
