Charlotte Sterling

Charlotte was admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW in May 2017. Following her admission, Charlotte commenced her career at a specialist family law firm where she practiced solely in the area of family law and gained experience in complex parenting and property matters assisting a diverse range of clients.

Charlotte’s extensive knowledge of family law allows her to take a considered approach to all her matters to ensure a timely and cost-effective resolution. Her personable approach will make you feel at ease during what is often a challenging time in your life.

Charlotte has a particular interest in law reform.

In 2019, she prepared a submissions paper in response to the Australian Law Reform Commission (“ALRC”) review of the Family Law System. Two of her recommendations were referenced in the Final Review Paper published by the ALRC.

In 2021, Charlotte was involved in drafting submissions to the NSW Committee on Coercive Control. These submissions were referenced several times in the Committee’s report and following the submission she and her co-contributors were invited to give evidence before the Committee at NSW Parliament House.
